The Puzzle We Call Life
What a journey life is. When I sit back, I see a plethora of priceless moments and memories of joy, and I see moments where I all together shattered. Underneath the surface there was always this indescribably beautiful puzzle. That’s how I view our lives, as puzzles. A puzzle our Lord created, specifically for us. Just like He made us each unique, the picture on our puzzle is uniquely ours. Together, all the pieces, all the minutes of your life, make this incredible story. A story worth telling the world, a story worth hearing. Your story is full of trials and tribulation, and with those come monumental feats of triumph. Sometimes we don’t see those feats though… and why is that? Why is it that we look at everyone else’s triumphs as monumental and our own as minuscule? We tend to get caught up in that one puzzle piece right in front of us, the circumstance we are currently in. Blowing it up and zooming in so far as to take up our entire view, blocking out the beauty behind, the beauty in front of us, and most importantly the beauty within the circumstance. One piece in a puzzle made up of millions. And in the midst of us getting lost in that one piece, God is working on us, working within us, and walking with us to the next piece of our story. He knows where it’s going, why you are there at this specific time, and how it serves you (and others) down the road. We too often forget that though, that God sees it all. He is intimately involved in our lives. Each of us… What an amazing creator to want to be so known by each and every person that has ever been on the earth and who will ever walk the earth. Just whoa.
This is what Confidently Katey will be full of. Real circumstances, stories, and thoughts that I (and my friends and family) get caught up in. Places you may also get caught up in. These puzzle pieces I went through and see coming into play now, and the pieces I am going through that I don’t understand whatsoever. All the while doing the absolute best to confidently lean on the Lord when I get caught up, trusting His divine plan instead of my own. Knowing that He sees the full puzzle, and I only see the pieces behind me or right in front of me.
It is not easy. It can be painful. It is almost always messy. And, by no means do I have all the answers. What I do have is the Word, the truth, people around me to pull knowledge and wisdom from, and endless grace.
Hang in there, come back and read occasionally, and you may just start to believe that you are not alone, that He has you in the palm of His hand, and a community of unknown readers is behind you.
Confidently,
Katey
